CONTEST! - Ginger envy

I have ALWAYS wanted freckles...red hair...even glasses! Whatever would make me different and not look like such a plain Jane, because "BE DIFFERENT!" is the motto I live by. I couldn't be more plain if I tried, and I have ALWAYS envied people with red hair. Especially kids...oh how I adore their fair skin and freckle faces! I want to show my love for auburn, chestnut, even carrot colored hair by having a contest! Here's the details:

*send me a pic on facebook of your favorite RED HAIRED child (or email, but be prepared for me to post the pic online!) and I will add it to the album titled "Ginger kids contest! -"like" your favorite pic to vote!
*the contest will be for kids 12 and under! No exceptions!
*I must reach the 5 kid mark for the contest to take place...if I do not get at least 5 pics for you all to vote on, I will not go through with the contest! So send the link to my facebook page to all of your friends, Sweet Girl Photography, LLC!
*anybody who posts the link to this blog entry (promoting the contest) as their headline on facebook and leaves it up for a whole 3 days will receive 10% off on all prints ordered on their next session booked with me! This does not apply to past sessions, sorry!
*you must "like" my Sweet Girl Photography, LLC page on facebook to enter the contest. You must also "like" my Sweet Girl Photography, LLC page to vote on the pictures! (don't just "like" the link to this blog post!!)
*the pic you submit must be a child of your own, or must come with permission from the parent or legal guardian of the child. *YOU CANNOT SUBMIT PICTURES OF SOMEONE ELSE'S CHILDREN WITHOUT THE CONSENT OF THE PARENT*...just sayin'.
*the child must have RED HAIR. I assume this is obvious, but hey, you never know...
*the contest will run from today until February 9th. So get submitting/voting!!
*the child with the most "likes" wins! It's that simple!!

The winner will receive:

*A 1-2 hour session with me, Alisa Hooker of Sweet Girl Photography, LLC without having to pay the cost of a sitting fee! YAY! This is a $100 value.
*A free 8x10, your choice
*2 free 5x7's, your choice
*a blog entry displaying all of your little one's best pics from your session, and a permanent pic on my website's home page.

Awesome, eh? I thought so too :) So there you have it, a free session with me for the contest winner!!
I take a ton of pictures during each session, so additional pics will be available for purchase if the winner so desires. Just ask any of my past clients, I click and click and click until I can't click any more! My price list is available on my website:
www.sweetgirlphotography.com
The winner will receive a password to enter in the proofing section of my website to view their child's photos. You may give the password out to whomever you like!
The session must take place within 30 miles of the zip code 48134. If you don't have a particular place in mind, I have a few favorite spots for you to consider.
I would like the session to take place in either May or June of this year, but we can schedule it anytime in 2011. This opportunity will expire 12/31/12.

I know this is not a normal contest. But thats just me...DIFFERENT! This is my first contest, so help me make it a success and pass the word on!!

Miss Emma, aka George

I know I frequently talk about how fast time flies in my life, but geez...this shoot was a real eye opener for me. Emma is a cousin of mine who chose to abandon the rest of us here in Michigan for the prettier, all around nicer state of Tennessee a few years ago- (Aunt Mary, I'll never forgive you! LOL!) Moving 12 hours away means that I only get to see her maybe once or twice a year. In the blink of an eye, Emma grew from a little kid I babysat once or twice to a senior in high school. Her mom, my favorite Aunt Mary, has been back several times, (there during both of the births of my babies, wedding and baby showers, and any other thing i've needed her for over the last few years...well, my whole life really) and it's ALWAYS terribly sad when she goes home. So I really wanted to do something for her to show all of my appreciation for everything she has done for me. I hope you guys find something you like in Emma's senior gallery. I truly appreciate you coming up here and letting me practice on our Emma! Emma, someday you'll understand how truly OLD you make me feel by GRADUATING!!!!!

Cousins

I'm pretty sure that I would crumble to pieces if my brothers lived any further away than they do now- These sisters live hundreds of miles apart and got together last month to celebrate Christmas together. Three kiddo's under 3 years old, weeeee!!! They asked me to take some candid pictures of their kids while they were in town together and this is what my little camera caught:
*click on each pic for a better view!

Love the pic of Mia praying...hearing prayer come from such a little body in such a sweet little voice was refreshing and tugged at the heartstrings- Especially the "God bless Miss Alisa" part (pointing over toward me with her eyes closed, lol) That particular picture is the fuzziest, and is chalk full of noise, but I still love it anyway. Maybe it's because Mia made me part of it in her own special christian way :)
The black and white pictures from their gallery seem to be my favorite, can you tell?! They speak to me louder than the color ones...but the little kiddo's were so darn cute, so it doesn't matter! Had a great time with your family, Faith! What a wonderful thing to be a part of!
