Desiree, Huron High School, class of 2015!

Desiree met me on the beach for her senior shoot, and as I edited her pictures that day, I sat at my computer with my toes in the sand that had fallen out of the cuffs of my jeans, piled up neatly on my tile floor. I think I'll keep some of that sand around for inspiration as the Michigan weather gets colder and the days get shorter! If all of my seniors are as beautiful and easy to work with as Desiree, no inspiration will be needed! She fell into each pose with ease and the shoot just directed itself. Divine!

Meet this year's senior rep, Erika! It was super windy by the water, but it was worth it to catch her natural beauty! Her brown eyes really pop against the sand and those cowboy boots fit her style perfectly! See you in the Fall Erika!

2014 Summer mini sessions

Good God, I Love beach sessions! And here's why:

Then this little guy gave me a run for my money:

And at the end of the day, I came away with this:

It may have smelled like dead fish, and many a watermelon were lugged 6.2 miles through the sand to get these shots (not really, maybe 300ft...but I can assure you, I thought I might die after hauling three at a time in the hot summer sun)...but it was all worth it!

Sleepy sweet Jacob...

I don't think I'm allowed to have baby fever EVER again, but if I broke the rules and demanded a boy, I'm pretty sure I would hope that he turned out as sweet as this:

I used to be so intimidated by shooting 3 and 4 month olds...you can't smoosh them like you can with newborns since they are waaaaay beyond being posed at that age, and yet they aren't sitting up and it's a serious amount of work to get them to look at the camera. Then I met Rylee. After a short power nap, she was camera ready and too cute for words. My new favorite age!
