This will go down in history as the luckiest day ever...the weather was so pretty, got pulled over but DID NOT get a ticket (WOO HOO!), had someone let me ride on their Greenfield Village pass and got in free...the list goes on and on, lol-

My husband and I FINALLY took a weekend trip to get away from it all in Traverse City, just the two of us! Yes, we left the babies behind (for the first time!), and yes, this is one of the only pictures I took on our trip....??? Ha!

Oh yeah, it's CONTEST TIME!

We all know that as soon as Halloween is over, the Christmas rush will be on and the fun (stress) begins!

Shopping for presents, baking cookies, school plays, waiting in line to see Santa, untangling Christmas lights, stocking up on rock salt, finding the gloves and hats, more shopping for presents, slow freeways, snow boots, dragging kids up the sled hill, school cancellations, finding the ENTIRE family the perfect coordinating Christmas outfits, just one more shopping trip for presents...AAAAAND realizing the strand of lights you just untangled and hung on the tree wont work because you dislodged one measly bulb that you can't seem to locate to save your life. Wait! PICTURES! DON'T FORGET THE PICTURES!

I hope so! Not that I wish all of the craziness my household creates on anyone else...I'm just hoping we're somewhat normal!
If you're anything like me, a great deal of effort goes into the Christmas the season and I'm going to make sure I remember it! I am a proud team member of team GODD for a Cure- I will be posting our fundraising information as I obtain it for the Relay for Life, 2012!

These twins from Huron High School were really good sports! The sun left us fairly quickly, so I'm excited for our next shoot this coming June- See you guys in the spring!

Moving forward...

It has been FOREVER since I have posted any of my recent sessions on the blog...getting back in the swing of things this month! I'm trying to avoid my birthday next week because I'm turning the big *gulp* 3-0. Yep. I said it. I'm going to be 30 next week. So I'm keeping myself SUPER busy and catching up on all that I have been slacking on for the past few months!

I met up with Naim and Heather in June for their engagement shoot, and I just LOVE how they looked, acted, wore...you name it, and I loved it! Naim was a good sport and Heather is naturally beautiful, so they made my job super easy~ They will be married this October, and I feel so blessed to be able to capture their wedding for them! So in the spirit of moving forward in life (myself: turning 30...Heather and Naim: becoming a married couple), here's to the future and all it has to offer! (Heather and Naim: most likely babies...myself: wrinkles)
